It’s all about love….

Monday, November 12th 2007

I am here and s l o w l y coming back to my life. My Gaiadon Heart weekends were so amazing. I have lots to say but need time to come up with a post that does not ramble all over the place.. I have never felt such total, unconditional Divine Love. It is totally mind blowing. I feel awesome. I am so glad I did this before the new job. Now I can radiate my Light all over the hospital.

You have to check out this artist. OMG! She makes me weep. You would swear that God/Goddess is singing directly to you and only you! Really go here to hear Denise Hagan. If you don’t cry I would be amazed.

And to top it all off I lost 1.6 pounds this week. Apparently, meditation can burn lots of calories. Must of been all the weeping….

Week one: -3.2 lbs.
Week two: -1.2
Week three: -0.8
Week 4: -1.2
Week 5: -0.6
Week 6: -1.6

Total to date: -8.6 lbs!

I am hoping I can make 10 pounds next week. I will not be out of town this week, so I should be able to get my workouts in. And, I think the parking lot for my new job is at least 10 minutes away from the office. So, that will be 20 minutes of walking that I have not been getting. And, if you like Yoga go to Yoga download and check them out. I did one of their podcasts and now I can’t feel my abs. OWIE!

I will come visit soon!

Blessings!

Week five

Wednesday, November 7th 2007

Ok–it has been almost a week since I posted. I hate that. Things are good I am just catching up on stuff, stuff and more stuff.

My class is going well and I will lots more to say about it after this weekend.

I have had my blood work, tb test and physical done for the new job. Waiting on the background check and then I should be able to start the new job. I will be doing collections for the hospital.

I did manage to get my WW meeting in and here are those results:

Week one: -3.2 lbs.
Week two: -1.2
Week three: -0.8
Week 4: -1.2
Week 5: -0.6

Total to date: -7 lbs!

My loss is going to be slow but steady. Last week was pretty busy and I did not get enough work outs in. I have scheduled my workouts for this week, hopefully stuff won’t get in the way. Plus, I am gone for two days this week and that messes things up. But, that is my life. I am learning balance in all phases of my life.

This week I have to go thru my closet and put some outfits together for the new job. I have worn jeans for years and years. I am not ready to go on a shopping trip. I may wear the same two pairs of black pants for awhile.

And, this is if for now. Hope your life is smooth sailing!

T13~ Meme style

Thursday, November 1st 2007

sandy131.jpg

Holy Cow it’s been an insane morning. Here is a meme that L-squared tagged me with a long time ago.

01. If you could have super powers what would they be and what would you do with them? (Please feel free to be selfish, you do not have to save the world!).
I think I would want to be able to just do a Genie and blink my eyes and go where I wanted. It would be so cool to back in time and forward in time.

02. Were you to find your self stranded on an island with a CD player…it could happen…what would your top 10 bloggers island discs be?

This is a hard question. Right now I am very into Deva Premal. I posted about her a few weeks ago. I just listen to her chant and instantly relax. But, I would also need my Guns & Roses, Godsmack, Led Zeppelin tunes. I would not want to forget the women either: Melissa Etheridge, Anna Nalick, Sarah Mclachlan. Can I just have a super powerful radio that I can tune to my pleasure?

3. If you were a smell what would it be?

I think Lavender. I love anything Lavender. But since we are in the midst of Fall right now I am also loving all the pumpkin smells that are around.

4. If you were a bird would you most like to be?

A crow, raven or eagle. I hate picking just one thing.

05. If you were a bird who’s head would you poo on?

Politicians!

06. Are there any foods that your body craves?
Fresh baked bread!

07. What’s your favorite time of year?

I think fall. Then spring, summer and, finally, winter.

08. What’s your favorite time of day?

I like mornings.

09. If a rest is as good as a change which would you choose?
After I have a nap I will take the change.

10. If you could have a dinner party and invite any 5 people from the past or present who would they be? (Living or deceased.)

How come only five? Dali Lama, Ghandi, Buddha, Oprah, Stephen King, Diana Gabaldon, Gregg Braden, Viggo Morensten. Angelina Jolie (I find her so interesting.)
All my blogging friends: L-squared, Leanne, Lisa, Iliana, Susan, Temptest, Lisa, Jennifer, Indigo, Janet, Colleen, Interstellar, Rhian, Sparky, Utenzi….. Does it say something about my life that I have more virtual friends than in-person friends?? I am sure I have left someone off the list. So, you are all invited!

I think we are having dinner buffet syle!

End of MEME. I am not tagging anyone. If you want to do it let me know and I will come visit.

11. Friday and Saturday I am going to the first half of the Gaiadon Heart class. I will be super-fun stuff this weekend.

12. Today is the first anniversary of the FIL’s death. The girls are spending the day with my MIL.

13. It is not a coincidence that the hospital where I will be working is the same one he died in. Maybe I had a little divine intervention in getting the job.

Have a wonderful day.

Holy Cow!

Tuesday, October 30th 2007

I just the call. I was offered and accepted the part time position that I applied for. I am excited. This job is with one of the hospitals in the area. There is tons of opportunity to grow w. them. And, the hours are perfect: 8:00-12:00. I can still do all the stuff I need to with the kids in the afternoon. Although, she said the hours may change in a few months. But, for today, it is perfection.

I was giving myself an anxiety attack over the full time job that I wanted. It is better for me to start out at part time. I will start on Monday, hopefully. I have to meet with Human Resources before I can start.

Amazing, how things can change so quickly.

Weight Watchers ~ Week 4

Sunday, October 28th 2007

Here we are at week four and the past week has been interesting. Towards the end of the week I got the PMS brain fog and overwhelming exhaustion thing (don’t ya hate that!?). I really, really wanted to go take a nap, read a book, watch tv, etc… But, I worked out instead. Last Weds or Thurs it was so beautiful out. I dropped the kids off, did not come inside the house, and went directly to the beach for a long walk. The walk was great, but I still was ugly. I was hoping some endorphins would kick in and change my brain chemistry. No such luck. And, yesterday I was incredibly ugly. It was pouring out so I dug out one of my tae-boe tapes and did that. I am so sore today. I found pilates tapes as well. I will be adding tae-bo and pilates to the regime. Just to mix things up!

I realized today that the person who lives in my head that judges and critics everything I eat, don’t eat, and how many times I work out has been much quieter. This voice has always been with me. This is HUGE for me.

I did have some things that are off plan, but part of what I am learning is balance in all things. It must have paid off because I lost this week and did not think that I did. Probably, cause I feel all icky and pmsey. Here are the stats to date:

Week one: -3.2 lbs.
Week two: -1.2
Week three: -0.8
Week 4: -1.2

Total to date: -6.4

Where I’ve Been

Friday, October 26th 2007

I bet you have been wondering where I have been. I have not been here or to your place to visit (

Since school started I have been working on a blog for them. It has taken much more time than I have anticpated. And, I had to do a newsletter as well. It is so hard to get people to understand deadlines.

My A&P class is taking more time than I anticpated. But so far so good.

We are moving the store. That is taking more of my husband’s time than mine, but I am helping on the weekends. It will save us mucho dollars!

I may have mentioned, once or twice, that our health insurance increased by 30%. We decided to keep the insurance for our employees but we are terminating the policy for ourselves. We just cannot do over 14,000 a year for insurance. Craziness, I tell you. We may do a short term policy that will cover us if the worst happens. But hopefully this will happen:

Me getting hired by a company I interviewed with on Wed. It is the funniest thing. I applied, online, on Monday. Got a call Tuesday and went to see her Weds. I had all kinds of answers ready for questions that might come up. None of them did. We talked more about the amazing benefits the company has to offer than anything else. Nothing about my skills etc… I think she just wanted to see if I was real or not. I had applied for a part time job but she brought up a full time job that is becoming available. I would really like the full time job a lot more than the part time job. It was the oddest interview I have ever had. I believe I will be offered a job (crossing fingers here) and then I won’t have the health insurance problem to obsess over any longer.

I still have to do my work here. Not sure how two full time jobs will work out. But, I am willing to do it right now. It would be wonderful to take both salaries and really knock down the debt the business has burdened us with. And, if the winter is slow and we cannot pay ourselves, again, at least we can have this. I cannnot go another winter with little or no income.

Just a few things going on in my life…

WW ~ week three

Monday, October 22nd 2007

Holy Cow! I go away from my blog for a few days and all kinds of stuff is happening. I won books from SciFiChick and BookGirl. I am so lucky! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Here I am at the end of week three. And, the only thing hard about my new habits is finding time to exercise. I have written in my book, IN INK, the three days I am going to work out this week. You would never know it but I used to go to the gym everyday. I loved to spin. It was so much fun. Now, I can’t stand the idea of a gym. I guess it is because I work inside all day on the computer. I need sunlight! Here are the stats:

Week 1: 3.2
Week 2: 1.2
Week 3: .8

Total 5.2 pounds!

Yep, lost the first five pounds. High fives all around!

Thanks for your comments, Tendrils, Iliana, Leanne, & Susan Helene Gottfried!
