Thursday Thirteen: 70

t13boat.jpg

Taken at the end of my street, early one morning.

1. My kids have been gone all week. I have run the dishwasher once, done only two loads of laundry and only spent $60.00 on food.

2. But, I miss them.

3. I have found this forum: Poetry Free For All. HOLY COW! They really criticize some of these poems. You need a really thick skin to hang out over there. For now I will just lurk and learn.

4. They do have this challenge that pretty cool. They have given the first line of a poets, apparently famous, poem and you have to write a poem based on it. Looks like a lot fun.

5. I have to return my library books. Once they go back I will be on a self-imposed library ban. I have too much to do to be on library time right now.

6. We watched Zodiac last night. It was so looonnngggg. It finally got good, but it took awhile.

7. We have Last King of Scotland waiting. Not sure if I can do this so soon after the violence of Zodiac.

8. I had the most amazing polarity session on Tuesday. I feel great.

9. Speaking of polarity. Have you seen this site? His art is based on Sacred Geomentry and Crop Circles.

10.I have his cards. I can only use them when I have time. I can, easily, get lost in them.

11. empowerment.jpg

This is Empowerment. We used this portal along with Remembrance.

12. Next week we are supposed to be on vacation. Already my husband has to work Monday. I am sure I will wind up there at some point next week. We are never really on vacation.

13. My husband will celebrate his 45th birthday on the 22nd. Yep, he is on the cusp of Leo and Virgo. Nothing like an Picky King

Happy TT, Nancy!

Love the neat artwork; it IS dangerously addictive, huh?

As for the poetry forum, while I could learn a lot there, I’m going to have to put the brakes on. I need more time for my fiction as it is!

Happy TT, darling!

I’ve posted a list of the 13 best books that I’ve read so far this year. Happy TT.

I’ve never heard of polarity — sounds interesting!! I guess we all could use some empowerment!
Happy TT!

I don’t really know much about polarity, but the image on #11 is very interesting.

Hope you have a good vacation!

I liked your TT. I’m sure the weeks without your kids will be over very soon!!!
It’s always the same: If they are with us, we’d sometimes like to send them away, and when they’re gone, we miss them. -)

My TT is up, too. Please stop by.
Hugs from Germany,
Sonny

The picture is beautiful. It’s been a long time since I could spend $60 a week on groceries. I look forward to that day.

Loved the photo you took as well as the tranquil artwork, Nancy. I’m definitely going to have to check out that website. I enjoy stuff like that. Great TT. Thanks!

You have water so nearby!

I just visited three Nancy’s in a row and another one I don’t know left a comment on Tuesdays post.

I love the sacred geometry cards. I think all of life can be reduced and enlarged like a snowflake pattern from one seed.

Oh man, re: #13 - you poor thing. Wow, do you live right near the ocean?

I know there’s no relation, but I looked at that card, and suddenly I’m tired. I wonder how long I really stared at it?

Never really on vacation myself either. Love the picture of the end of your street. Nature does the peace and tranquility thing for me.

Nice TT.

That was a GORGEOUS picture - I felt pulled into it right away. I think I may save that and do some meditations on it.

Nancy introduced me to her polarity therapist and I LOVE LOVE LOVE her (and Nancy too!) - really neat work. You can do it over the phone sitting in your jammies. )

I admire your writing skills, Nance …. I have a very thin skin when it comes to my work so I’d be bummed if I got slammed on a poetry forum. (sobs)

Have a good weekend and a good “vacation” )

Love ya

Nice T13. I’ve not heard of ‘polarity’ in this context before.

I checked out that poetry forum you mentioned, and you’re right. They really lay into the pieces shown there. I want to, but I’m not sure my hide is thick enough. We shall just have to see with time.

The Empowerment image is just stunning. I can see how you could really lose yourself in it.

Well, take care!

’til we meet again,
Kotabear
