Don’t buy organic because I don’t do the shopping — hubby does and I jsut tell him what I want & he gets it. Also because I have 2 boys, i.e., eating machines, and spend a lot of $ on food.

Hola! I’m 26, African-American, married and living in Atlanta, GA.
1. Are you happy overall with your diet and food choices? Not really, I could be doing better.
2. Is there anything you think you need to change about your diet? I’ve severely reduce my intake of white foods (i.e. white potatoes, white flour, white rice). I need to get it down to zero. Right now it’s a serving or two once or twice a week.
3. Do you feel that you have enough energy to enjoy life to the fullest?
Yes
4. Do you take time to enjoy your food?
We cook more now and because of that we get exactly what we want, yummy.
5. How often do you eat raw fruits and vegetables? Every day.
6. What sources of calcium do you eat? I love cheese. I’m a little lactose intolerant so I drink rice milk with my cereal.
7. What foods do you eat to provide fiber? All of our bread is whole wheat and I eat shredded wheat in the mornings.
8. How many glasses of water do you drink a day? Maybe 4-5
9. Do you purchase organic food? We have a fabulous farmer’s market here in Decatur, GA and it’s really inexpensive so we shop there and get organic fruits mostly.
10. If you don’t why? Availibility? Cost?
11. What do you find most confusing about vitamins and minerals?
At one time I was taking 6-7 supplements a day and I didn’t feel any better so I just cut them all out and ate more raw fruits and veggies. Now I take a children’s vitamin every now and then. There really is just too much conflicting information out there.
12. If you have kids in your life: Are you happy with their diet?
13. Do your kids eat fruits and vegetables or lots of junk?
14. Do you think that a good diet could help prevent some medical conditions? Yes. I read a fabulous book, Anatomy of the Spirit, that touches on how our diet and spirit can effect our health.
15. How would you describe your relationship to food? It’s good. I eat what I want and don’t indulge. If it makes me feel bad I don’t eat it.
16. What state or country are you from?
Georgia
