1. First: Happy Anniversary to Thursday Thirteen. CONGRATULATIONS! I will not be listing my favorite thirteen’s. I think all the 13’s I read are awesome. It takes a long time to put together a coherent list and I appreciate all the players that take the time to play. YOU ARE AMAZING!
2. Yesterday was not as relaxing as I wanted it to be. We went to a brief cookout and then took my MIL to get new bedding. She has moved into a retirement home. This has been huge for her. Her first move by herself in forty years. She is doing ok.
3. I took her to buy all new living room furniture last week. That, again, was huge. My FIL never liked what she liked. Now it is up to her to pick something she likes. She was going for something in the seafoam greenish color. And, then she saw this rusty red floral pattern. Much cozier than the green. Cost a little bit more but I told her if she loved it she should get it. We ended up saving on the rug, so she spent about the same amount if she had got the green.
4. We did not have fireworks last night. It was raining. We were not going anyway. Dh and I watched Blood Diamond. I am going to do a separate post about this movie. I think it was Dicaprio’s best performance. Amazing movie, very disturbing.
5. I am in the second module of my class. Fat-soluble vitamins. Do you find vitamins confusing? What to take? How much? Do I need a supplement? I know I find them confusing. I will be posting more about vitamins. It is hard to take all the information available and make it pertinent to your life.
6. I love the class so far. We have a wide array of individuals: Lots of Reiki Masters, Massage Therapists, one Reflexologist, a Bee Raiser and a Kabbalah Teacher.
7. 21 students: all women and one guy. Some of these women have, ahem, very strong opinions. Which is good. You can learn so much from other people.
8. After posting all those books, scroll down to see the score, I did go to the library. I get nervous if I don’t have a pile of library books. Even if I don’t read them, they are there just in case. Just in case of I don’t know what, but just in case.
9. I have NOTHING (much) planned for this weekend. I don’t have to cook or clean for hours. I don’t have to go anywhere. I can just BE! Woo-Hoo!
10. In work news: Things are better. Not great, but better. This fall we are moving the store. Which will reduce our fixed costs by a lot. Everyone has been very positive about the news.
11. I am completely overwhelmed with work since we laid off my assistant. Which means I should be working now and not thirteening.
12. We are at the last stages of Mercury Retrograde. It will start moving forward again next Monday. We have been going backwards in Cancer. Fast moving Mercury really does not like to be in slow feeling cancer. Too much water and emotion. Has not been too bad for me, as I have been so busy. But, I know a few people who have had a rough time.
13. Still posting my photos at 525,600 minutes. I have a cute one up today. The easiest way to see them all is by clicking the archive button. I really need to do some work on my links and about pages. Taking pictures is a great way to fulfill my creative side and it is almost instant gratification.
The purpose of Thursday Thirteen is to meet new friends and spread comment love. Go over to all things Thirteen to see who is playing.

Our fireworks were rained out too, though the ones on TV from Boston did the trick for me.
when you find vitamins that help you sleep, let me know!
I wish it would have rained here last night. I now harbor resentment for my neighbors that continued to set off fireworks long after the acceptable time. Some of us had to work this morning! grr.
Sparky: Will do. In the meantime this is what I do to help me sleep:
Sckullcap:One of the most powerful, yet gentle, nervine herbs around. I even took when pregnant. Relaxes the mind.
Valerein Root: Take as a capsule as it smells like dirty socks and tastes awful. Better for the body than the mind. Be aware that in a small portions of the population this will act as at stimulate.
Melatonin: wonderful to help you sleep.
Start with small doses and work up from there. I use all three at once.
Educate yourself on these products and see if they work for you. Also, chamomile tea and restrict caffeine intake after lunchtime. If you got stuff on the brain journaling may help. Those are my tips for now.
SciFi: How come people are so friggin’ rude? Drives me crazy. I hope they don’t continue to party thru the weekend.
Your photoblog is great and yes, today’s picture is very cute! Happy TT
Sounds like you need a holiday to recover from your holiday! Happy TT =)
I learned everything I needed to know about vitamins and nutrition from Adelle Davis’s books. We had the bonfire fireworks two nights in a row!!
Happy 100th TT, Nancy!
Neat list; you’ve been busy. Glad your mom’s doing so well and may she be healthy and happy in the new home and with the new red couch.
Remind me to email you about my session with Ann!
love you (and thanks for your comments on my kitty)
Having nothing planned for the weekend is a good thing sometimes
Looking forward to hearing more about the vitamins stuff.
