Here are pictures of ALL the books I scored in Vermont. Once or twice a year I clean my mother out of all her books. She is mystery lover. And, she buys all her books. Really, she needs to go to the library. My niece let me borrow some of her books. She is so possesive of her books.
These are from my niece: I am allowed to keep the Nancy Drew books. I have decided that since seeing the movie, I should re-read some Nancy Drew books. And, if you have girls, from about 9-15, they will like the movie. I had no expectations and really liked it. Plus Nancy wears clothes and is a good role model for our girls. I hope they made enough money to make more movies.
I have wanted to read Memoir of a Geisha for awhile.
More from my niece. She loves Howl’s Moving Castle.
The last bunch from my niece. You can see that she is big into the Fantasy Genre.
From my mother: We all need a little Dirk Pitt in our life. The Cussler novels can be fun if unrealistic. She said The Floating City was good. I am wondering if I already read Gone.
I have ended up with a lot of Nora Roberts this time around. I love the JD Robb books, so these may be a decent mindless read that I sometimes need.
I have never read any Deutermann. I am looking forward to the Kingsolver novel.
I find that Kellerman can be sketchy. SOme of his novels have been too weird or violent for me.
Kathy Reichs is another author I think I should really enjoy and really don’t. I will give her another try. Especially, since I love Bones so much.
After all these other books did I really need to go to the used book store and spend 45.00 on books? Apparently, I did.
More Nora Roberts. But some of these are the Vampire books she wrote. And, it was buy one get one free. I was really excited to get Caridad Pineiro books. I read her blog frequently.
Yes, I am obsessive. How much do you want to bet that I will be at the library this week. Probably tomorrow. LOL!

Wow, that’s a lot of Books! I love Bones too, but just haven’t gotten into Reichs’s books yet.
Stephen Hunter and Philip Margolin are great. You look all set. Libraries are too time restrictive for me. when will i find time to blog?
I am so in love with Memoirs of a Geisha, I have read it at least 10 times. I also adore James Patterson, even though sometimes I get nightmares. Johnathan Kellerman I have found to be really hit and miss. One book will be great and the next slow and tedious.
I also really love to stockpile books when I can get them. I think it’s a great idea!
Omigosh! That’s like a few years worth of books for me! You certainly have some eye exercises to tend to.
Uhhhh, those are a lot of books m’dear. I read Memoirs of a Geisha and I LOVED it. You’ll love it too. I love Dirk Pitt, especially Matthew McC. as Dirk Pitt. Yum.
I’m reading Lean Mean Thirteen by Janet Evanovich, and then I’m reading some boring financial accounting book. Blah.
Wow, nice haul!
That should keep you busy for a while! I’m with your mom: we all need a little Dirk Pitt in our lives.
I’ve had my eye on Howl’s Moving Castle for a while, will you let me know how it is?
And gosh! Your mom sure does buy a lot of books. I used to buy all mine too but then I ran out of shelf space so now I only buy cookbooks and novels by my top fav authors. Still don’t have enough shelf space, but its a start! What a score you got, lucky lucky.
I’m so jealous of all these books!
I really like the Bones series too but have no idea how the books compare - probably quite different huh?
I’m bookishly obsessed too. Are you a bookcrosser? I am and I think it’s made me even worse. I have nearly 100 books on my TBR shelves.
[…] Not like I don’t have enough bags and boxes of books to keep busy, right? You remember these pictures, don’t you? Plenty of reading material to keep me going. I think I am getting an allergeric […]
Impressive stack! I was hoping to see Rosamunde Pilcher and Maeve Binche in those piles because they are the best. I’m hooked on P. D. James.
