1. I got my reviews of two books posted finally. The Amnesia Clinic and Finn have stayed with me.
2. I am reading The Camel Bookmobile right now. Not sure how I feel about it yet. I love this line though:
“If I have to stay my whole life here, without experiencing there, I’ll evaporate.”
Isn’t that a great line?
3. After this I have The Thief of Time, A Few Demons More and Then We Came to The End to read.
4. Melinda is so going to win.Updated to add: Wahhhhh….she was booted off. Now I think Jordin will win but I am always wrong about this show. I thought Katherine McPhee should have won last year. I think Melinda has a bright future ahead of her.
5. I finally gave in and bought DVR. I have resisted for years. But, now that I am working constantly I want to watch my escape TV: General Hospital.
6. We also gave in and got the kids a cell phone. Only to be used for events. The girls went to Boston w. their class Tuesday and we were happy they had a phone. In a few weeks my son goes on the Mystery Trip.
7. Next Weds. is my FIFTEENTH wedding anniversary. HOLY COW! I think we are just going to dinner. Hopefully where the patrons have manners. 
8. I am sure posting three long posts in one day means that some of them won’t get read. But, I just had to get them out there.
9. Leanne put slimstat on my blog. Now I can spy on the people who come and don’t leave a comment. I am watching you.
10. I got nothing else. EEK! How about some pictures, instead.

DVR will change your life!!! My kids say, “Have you seen such-and-such commercial?” and I say, “Nope…never watch commercials!” Someone says, “What night is such-and-such on?” and I say, “I have no idea, never watch shows when they are actually on!”
As for giving in on the cell phones…give some consideration to getting some kind of text message plan. My 13 year old daughter had to fork over $100 of her hard-earned babysitting money one month due to text messaging charges. Then we got the unlimited text messaging and it’s fine. The kids her age don’t yack on the phone like I do….they text.
I think the best singers always get booted from Idol. The only exception is Kelly Clarkson

You’re right about Melinda, she has an incredible voice and I predict she’ll be around a long time. I think Jordin will win, also.
Buying cell phones for my girls was one of the best things we ever did. It was so hard to keep track of them during the day! I found it a huge peace of mind, especially when they went on field trips and overnight sleepovers, etc.
