Well, the waiting is over for one thing. My son was accepted to the Jesuit High School. We are so proud of him. Now we start the financial aid process. Just because he was accepted does not mean he can go. My son wants to go really, really bad. He is willing to get a job and work all summer.
Still no word about the job I applied for. What a pain to have to wait for them to call me. But, my library is looking for a substitute circulation person. I am going in today to see what that is all about. I would love to work at a library. No matter what I do, I still have to work here. So, maybe this kind of position is better right now. The other job has amazing benefits. I wish they would just call already. But, it feels like there is a lot of confusion over there right now.
Saturday I took a yoga workshop. This was Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga which means Hot and Fast. They heat the room to 95 degrees with 50% humidity. OMG! I think this is the hardest workout I have ever done. Even harder than when I was Spinning. No wonder, I am SO OUT OF SHAPE! UGH! Some of the women that have been going there for a few months have amazing arms. Like, Madonna arms. Really, Yoga can kick your ass. My upper body is pretty sore.
On Sunday, my friend called to say his wife was part of an Open House. I went over to support her in her new adventures. She is amazingly gifted. She did a mini, mini tarot reading on me that was spot on. She wants to use her gifts to create beautiful spaces for people. It is very exciting for her. I can’t wait to see what happens with this. I expect she will be very successful.
That is the latest news from here. What’s up with you
(I like this theme better. Let me know if it is funky on your computer.)

I hear ya. I applied to a job that I really, REALLY want. First I got an email from a friend about it. Then I kept checking the site they linked but the job wasn’t listed. I emailed them directly and they finally got back to me on Saturday, which is when I applied. Now, I have to wait again to see if I am “worthy.” There was another job I applied for a week back and nothing from them either. hmmmm
Wow, I think I’d pass out if I had to workout in that room!
And the theme looks good to me..
I really like your new theme, Nancy. There’s only one small problem on my browser (Firefox) and that’s at the top of the right side there’s the word “Womenbloggers?” with some tags around it. It doesn’t look like it belongs there.
The Yoga sounds like a very tough workout, Nancy. Good luck with that!
Grrr. I know what you mean about waiting to hear on a job. An answer would be nice, eh?
I did a power yoga class once, and I didn’t like the way it made me feel. Too fast. I felt wrong afterward. I like the slow, meditative yoga better. It makes me feel right.
I like this theme too. Congrats to your son, catholic schools can do so much for the college thing, just on name alone.
I love the theme! Congrats about the school - that’s wonderful!
I’m crossing my fingers that everything works out on the work front. I think you’d make a fine addition to any library.
Nice to e-meet you. I found myself meandering through your archives, just enjoying your perspectives on life and family. I’ll be back.
