Sleep

Tuesday, December 19th 2006

I have not slept thru the night in days.  No matter what time I go to bed, I wake up and am up for hours.  Last night it was from 12 -3.  The night before 1 - 3. And, so on.  Apparently, the current planetary alignments are not condusive to my sleeping patterns.

Anyway, most of my shopping is done.  I have to pick up a few things for my MIL.  My husband is hard to buy for this year.  So I am not totally happy w. my purchases, yet.

I have wrapped almost nothing.  That will be this weeks challenge: WRAPPING!  Santa wraps EVERYTHING! And, getting the house clean.  I will have company everyday starting on Friday until next Weds.  Then my niece will be w. us until New Year’s Day.

We (as in my husband) did manage to get the bathroom painted.  It looks awesome.  It went from white to ocean blue.  We are thrilled to have this done. A fresh coat of paint makes everything look awesome!

Hope you have the Christmas Crazies under control!

oh the wrapping… i’m still in denial that it’s “the season.” it actually just occurred to me the other day that we hadn’t bought the boy-child his “big present” that would have kinda sucked, huh?

hope you weather the holidays well.

I’ve almost finished my shopping, Nancy, but haven’t wrapped anything yet. I’ll wait until Thursday, I suspect.

Sleep usually eludes me also, Nancy. That’s been true ever since I was a little kid tho. Even when I sleep well, it’s rare for me to get more than 5 hours sleep unless I’m sick. But staying awake gives me a lot of time to read and catch up on TV shows.

I still have knitting, shopping and wrapping to do. Plus cooking and cleaning. I’m not stressed about it. Yet.

Hope you get some sleep soon!

Oh man, I love wrapping! I’d much rather put a booth on my front lawn and sit wrapping gifts all day than catch up on my single remaining holiday task: baking dozens of cookies.

Try bubble baths, Nancy. Sometimes a bit of water will “ground” all that crazy, buzzing Uranian/Sagittarius energy and help you sleep. Good luck!

I’m so sorry - I totally feel your pain. Maybe after the chaos of Christmas, you’ll collapse into a beautiful sleep. )

I HATE the wrapping, but we got it done. Yay! It was A LOT, let me tell you.

I hope you have a great holiday if I don’t “talk” to you before then!

I’m not sleeping either. I don’t know what it is..is it the jitters before a family holiday with my boyfriends parents for the first time…hmmm I think it might be.

But I feel great, all shopping done, even managed to do soem baking…and no matter what time I go to sleep, even if I have a beer or two BING I’m am awake shortly thereafter. It’s crazy.

I actually am pumping Midol today…oh why am I saying this is public…but just in case I’ve got some weird PMS. I think there must be prozac in it because I am staring at the tv with a weird smile on my face until I realize I’m watching WWE!!! RAW!!!

Actually are you still looking for a gift for hubby? What about that new turntable that hooks right into a computer…does he have old records?
