So, yesterday I was listening to the Randi Rhodes show. She was talking to Greg Palast about the election in Mexico. Which is very interesting and some key Busheys have been “helping out” in Mexico. I came in on the end of it. But, Bush wants the guy that wants to corporatize Mexico’s oil. No surprise. I believe the current President wants to keep the oil state run. I could have that wrong, but I think its right.
Then Randi says that we get our oil from the following in this order:
1. Canada
2. Mexico
3. Saudi Arabia
4. Venezula
Canada I didn’t know that and naturally assumed that most of our oil came from the Middle East. I am sure some of you smartie pants knew it, but I did not.
I like Randi and I think she usually tells the truth as she sees it, but I have learned to verify things on my own. Google is magic and I found this:
Crude Oil and Total Petroleum Imports Top 15 Countries
Offical energy stats from the government. ANd, she was right: Canada, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Venezula were the top four. Iraq was 6. And, these were the top four for 2005. The only Middle Eastern countries were SA, Kuwait and Iraq. If I remember my geography correctly.
I find this all to be so interesting. And, explains why Bushy is so interested in Mexico right now. Which also makes this whole immigration thing so interesting.
And, while everyone is watching North Korea, why have you heard nothing about this INdia test fired a nuclear missile and failed. Guess ‘cuz we like them it’s ok.
I feel so bad for what happened in India . Just more insanity.
Hug your family and be grateful for the abundance you have in your life. We could have things so much worse.

Word on that. I fear, though, that as those in this administration lose their power, they will hold on that much tighter to it. I don’t think it’s going to be pretty.
I sure do hope that we (collectively) get whatever lessons the universe is trying to teach us. (sigh)
None of it makes sense to me. I want to just put up a wall and not hear from the rest of the world for awhile. Let them all to their own devices and see what happens without us.
Odd about Bush helping in MExico as he has not been treating Canada so nicely…
The last prime minister of Canada, he ignored, he likes the newly elected one, as he seems as much as an ignoramous as him…
I feel so bad for India…
It makes my heart sink…
I agree - none of it makes any sense. I am constantly saying, “I never voted for him!” when people complain around me (who, uh, did vote for Bush). There is so much confusion and I just am sooooo sick of all of it. I think our country is far worse off now, and I fear the future for my children and grandchildren as well!
