I came home on saturday.
The operation went well. They did what they thought: first a laperoscopy and then opened me up took my appendix and part of my seecum(spelling ) The surgeon said that part of the appendix was rock hard. It went to pathology. I imagine if I don’t here anything that everything is fine w. that.
Had a hard time getting the pain under control. Finally found a drug that worked and then my veins conked out and I ended up on oral meds. When i had my c-sections, they were much more generous with the drugs. The drugs also make me GRUMPY and anti-social. Not good when you have 3 kids.
The pain is tolerable now and am starting to get around. I still get queasy. Went to work for a few hours today, for payroll. Will probably go again Thurs and Fri for a few hours.
No driving until next week.
Being drugged up does nothing for creativity either. I could not have written even if I wanted to, half the time I was delirous and the other half passing out from the meds.

Welcome home! I’m glad to hear that all went well as far as surgery goes. I wonder what would make your appendix hard like that? Do they think it was appendicitis?

I’m glad your on the mend. I had my appendix out too. Yuck, I know what you’re going through. Once it is over you won’t even miss it though. What the heck is the point of an appendix anyway? You only hear about them when someone gets one burst or removed.
Glad you are getting there. Keep it coming with the updates. When do you hear back on what the heck is wrong with that appendix?
